Privacy Policy

Last updated September 30, 2026

HomeLabPicks is a static website with no accounts, comments, or newsletter. We collect as little information as practical. This page explains what is collected and why.

Analytics

On homelabpicks.com we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate traffic: which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and which product links are clicked. Google Analytics sets cookies and receives technical information from your browser, such as pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type, and referring site. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy.

You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, a content blocker, or your browser's cookie settings. Blocking analytics does not affect how the site works.

Product link redirects

Product links route through /go/ addresses before sending you to a retailer or manufacturer. When a /go/ link is followed, our hosting records a click entry so we can see which guides are useful and filter out automated traffic. Each entry contains:

  • the time, the product link, and the destination store;
  • the page you came from, including the full referrer your browser sends;
  • your approximate country and the Cloudflare data center that handled the request;
  • a one-way hash of your browser's user-agent string, plus technical request details such as the request method and the browser's fetch metadata headers.

The click entry does not include your IP address, cookies, or any identifier that follows you from visit to visit.

Retailers and affiliate programs

Once you leave for Amazon or a manufacturer's site, their privacy policies apply. Amazon uses cookies to attribute purchases to our Associates account. See the affiliate disclosure for which links pay us.

Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse, as described in Cloudflare's own privacy policy.

If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply, investigate a correction, or handle the matter you raised.
